Anthi Chrysanthou 

Anthi is interested in exploring diverse concepts,narratives and graphic techniques. Her work includes the interpretation of classic themes differently and the creation of fictional sceneries and characters.

She has an interest for various cultures which is expressed in her work.
 

She is interested in using traditional methods to computer aid techniques and mixed media with a playful approach, in order to challenge the already known ‘‘wake up’’ the inner child of her adult audience and entertain and teach younger readers of various ages.

After finishing her studies in Furniture Design in Greece, in 2008, she worked in Cyprus as a Designer, took part in the organization of events for children of various ages and worked as a creative educator, from 2007 to 2009.

In 2009 she decided to  continue her learning journey by exploring Design in an advanced conceptual level by taking an M.A. in Design in 2009.
Later on by taking an M.A. in Education in 2011, she managed to combine her knowledge and passion for education with  her artwork by creating illustrations for educational children’s books.

 

In 2011 she published with the co oporation of the Ministry of Interior of Cyprus and the E.U committee for political refugee matters in Cyprus illustrations for a book which distributed to various primary schools in Cyprus.
 

Recently, she completed the illustration of a book with title " The Lion and the existentialist Hippopotamus" whith the aim to be promoted to primary school children. 

 

Currently, she is working as a freelancer Illustrator for children's and adults books, and participates in art competitions and art exhibitions in the UK.
